Q. My name is Vicki, and I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am in the process of trying to find a business directory that lists the companies that are looking for people to work from home, but I am not interested in multilevel marketing of any sort. I am simply looking for something that I can do from my home, and get paid to do it. The problem is I have no idea where to look, nor do I have tons of money to invest in bogus companies. Also, there are many opportunities on the site that you can review. What is it about Multi level marketing companies that you don't like? There is a FYI column on the site that discusses MLM's. I work for a computer systems builder and integrator and I just ran across your website; and was wondering if you could help me in looking for bid's and quotes from business's looking to put together systems or need computer equipment. Hi Tom, I am not sure; but I would suggest calling/writing/emailing government agencies, counties, towns, school districts, colleges etc. If you qualify, some have minority contracts and other categories like displaced worker. I also recommend joining organizations such as Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, religious organizations and even try volunteering at some local agencies. All of these might help you network. Of course, if you do jobs for businesses and individuals etc you should advertise locally as well as set up a site so that government, organizations, educational institutions and individual can find you. hope this helps a bit, please write back and let me know how this works for you and if I can be of further assistance. Q.Hi. Well I am a mom of 5 children. I did work nights at a hospital in the
sleep disorder clinic, but with the kids and things they have to do it just
got so hard to have the energy for them. So now I stay at home but am really
interested in doing parties with candles and body products. If you have some
info that you could send me or a catalog to let me see I would love it.

It sounds as if you are one busy lady! I commend you for staying home with your children and also trying to bring in some income. Many others are in your shoes and able to find their perfect business opportunity…and you will too! Just so you know, I am a stay at home grandmother who believes the greatest gift I can give my grandson is to care for him while his parents work. In exchange, I feel honored and like the luckiest person alive! I am able to care for him, watch him grow and develop and be a special part of his life.
